Rehabber's Corner
We are happy to say that we have officially started our beginning stages of our "Education Dept" here at Chris's Squirrels and More.
We feel that the hands on approach is in many cases the best approach. Many times we try to help rehabbers over the phone, and in many cases trying to explain something over the phone just doesn't cut it.
Keep an eye on the site; we will be adding lots of different videos for different cases. Some videos will be basic rehab care and others may be more involved.

Acclimating Juvenile Squirrels to Pre-release EnclosureIn this video we are showing how we go about acclimating our squirrels to a pre-release cage. These squirrels are about 10 weeks old. They will stay in this cage for 3-4 weeks before they are released into the wild. When we do release these squirrels it will be considered a soft release. A soft release is when the animals are allowed to come back and forth to their cage until they are ready to be in the wild permanently. We hope this video will help others rehabilitators with the proper release of their own squirrels in a rehab situation. |
A tour of Chris's Squirrels and More Pre-release cagesIn this video we take a walk through our woods and view our pre-release cages. It's a nice trip and we're sure you'll enjoy the walk. |
A Tour of our Juvenile Squirrel Clinic
