Acclimating Juvenile Squirrels to Pre-release Enclosure
In this video we are showing how we go about acclimating our squirrels to a pre-release cage. These squirrels are about 10 weeks old. They will stay in this cage for 3-4 weeks before they are released into the wild. When we do release these squirrels it will be considered a soft release. A soft release is when the animals are allowed to come back and forth to their cage until they are ready to be in the wild permanently. We hope this video will help others rehabilitators with the proper release of their own squirrels in a rehab situation.
